Artista, editore, sperimentatore instancabile: Tommi Musturi è uno dei nomi più rappresentativi del fumetto underground finlandese ed europeo. La sua produzione è vastissima, e spazia tra stili e formati con una libertà e un’energia che l’hanno reso un punto di riferimento della scena indipendente internazionale. Dal visionario ciclo The Books of Hope ai fumetti muti del suo iconico Samuel, passando per Future, una serie dedicata a futuri (possibili e impossibili) dell’umanità, fino alla mitica antologia Glömp, Musturi ha attraversato, ridisegnato e trasformato l’idea stessa di fumetto. È anche fondatore del collettivo KutiKuti della leggendaria casa editrice Huuda Huuda, oggi continua a pubblicare e stampare con Boing Being e nella sua libreria sperimentale Stuff. Per il TCBF, grazie a StraneDizioni arriva una mostra retrospettiva necessaria e generosa: una selezione di lavori che esplora tutto il caleidoscopio grafico e narrativo di Musturi. Nella mostra da Spazio Insolito anche una nuova fanzine e un poster serigrafato creati per l’occasione e per il suo The Archive. Vi aspettiamo per perderci insieme nei suoi mondi colorati, ironici, surreali e profondissimi.

Artist, publisher, and tireless experimenter: Tommi Musturi is one of the most iconic names in Finnish and European underground comics. His vast output spans styles and formats with a freedom and energy that has made him a key figure in the international independent comics scene. From the visionary series The Books of Hope to the silent comics of his iconic Samuel, through Future, a series dedicated to humanity’s (possible and impossible) futures, to the legendary anthology Glömp, Musturi has explored, reshaped, and transformed the very idea of comics. He is also the founder of the KutiKuti collective of the legendary Huuda Huuda publishing house, and today continues to publish and print with Boing Being and his experimental bookshop Stuff. For the TCBF, thanks to StraneDizioni, a much-needed and generous retrospective exhibition arrives: a selection of works that explores Musturi’s entire graphic and narrative kaleidoscope. The exhibition at Spazio Insolito also features a new fanzine and a silkscreened poster created for the occasion and for his The Archive. We look forward to seeing you and letting you lose yourself in his colorful, ironic, surreal, and profound worlds.
