Treviso chiama Rotterdam! Per 17 settimane due illustratrici, Camilla dall’Italia e Madelief dai Paesi Bassi, hanno condiviso pensieri, sogni e conversazioni profonde e gioiose attraverso una serie di cartoline illustrate a mano. Ogni settimana seguiva un tema unico, un modo per comprendere le loro vite: dai ricordi d’infanzia e i cibi locali preferiti alle ispirazioni artistiche e alle aspirazioni personali. Da qui è nata “Hey, look what I got! (it’s a postcard!)” è una vera e propria mostra epistolare curata da Studio Foreste al Giardino Bistrot che vuole mostrare come l’arte possa colmare con naturalezza le distanze culturali. La mostra è anche il primo evento realizzato in collaborazione tra Treviso Comic Book Festival e Cross Comix festival di Rotterdam.

Treviso calls Rotterdam! For 17 weeks, two illustrators, Camilla from Italy and Madelief from the Netherlands, shared thoughts, dreams, and profound, joyful conversations through a series of hand-illustrated postcards. Each week followed a unique theme, a way to understand their lives: from childhood memories and favorite local foods to artistic inspirations and personal aspirations. Hence, “Hey, look what I got! (it’s a postcard!),” a truly epistolary exhibition curated by Studio Foreste at the Giardino Bistrot, aims to demonstrate how art can naturally bridge cultural distances. The exhibition is also the first event organized in collaboration between the Treviso Comic Book Festival and the Cross Comix festival in Rotterdam.
